Hi! My name is Viktor. I’m an illustrator and designer from Maribor, a relatively small city in the grand scale. But at the moment I am living in Benedikt, the smallest municipality in Slovenia as fas as I know.

Drawing has been my passion for as long as I can recall. In my childhood, I filled countless notebooks with sketches; pencils and colored pencils were my tools of choice. It wasn’t until I stumbled upon MS Paint that I ventured into digital illustration, marking a pivotal moment in my artistic journey.

During my time in gymnasium, the realm of Adobe captivated me, leading to the purchase of my first graphic tablet. This technological leap expanded my horizons, solidifying my dedication to digital illustration.

While earning my art teacher degree in 2014, I was already immersed in client work, having begun during my gymnasium years. My appetite for learning drove me to participate in workshops and courses nationwide and internationally. Moreover, I’ve taken on roles as an instructor, sharing insights on comic books, digital illustration, Adobe tools, and more.

My first regular design job was with the Slovenian scouting organisation. It was a combination of PR and design, so I also learned a lot about proper communication with and without graphic design.

Later I worked in Austria at DOPPELPUNKT PR- und Kommunikationsberatung as a graphic designer, where I had my first experience working with a proper PR and marketing Agency. I learned a lot and also had the privilege to work in a great team and for a while under the eye of art director Markus Jausovec.

Currently I am employed as a senior graphic designer at ctrl.media in Maribor.

Since the age of 10, I’ve been involved with the scouts, and although I’m not an active leader now, I still contribute to illustration and design projects from time to time. The scouts imparted valuable life lessons beyond survival skills, emphasizing teamwork, self-reliance, and maximizing my creative abilities, influencing my career path in illustration and design.

As for hobbies, where do I start? Drawing is a given. I sing in a rock band named Piksel Prfekt. I play guitar and write music. My DIY inclination might drive my wife a bit crazy—I craft my guitar effect pedals and even constructed an electric guitar. My fondness for retro gaming and restoration aligns with my nostalgic side; I’d pick a Gameboy over a Switch any day ;)! Oh, and I design point and click adventure games from time to time.
